If there are two words to describe Harmony’s curriculum, it’s balance and community.
We balance structured activities with unstructured ones. And, of course we teach foundational skills like math, language, science, yoga and Spanish. But our teachers also work as facilitators, encouraging children to make their own choices, become independent learners and imaginative thinkers.
We want children to make their own choices about many of their activities. Because, when children are making their own choices, they’re developing confidence as learners and believing in ones self -children are becoming life long successful learners.
Then, there’s our community. When children see themselves as both an individual and an important contributer to the their greater community, good things happen. Children take responsibility, they get involved, have opinions and become engaged both in their learning but also in their community.
After searching high and low for the perfect preschool, we finally found Harmony. I knew the moment I walked into the school that it would be perfect for our son. It’s a warm, welcoming environment with exceptional teachers, and a fantastic outdoor play area. We are all so proud to be part of the Harmony community and our son looks forward to each new adventurous day there!
